A brief history of the Minneapolis & St. Louis mainline from Mason City to Peoria and Albia:

06/26/21

Located in Oskaloosa, this simple steel stringer bridge crosses US-63 (Market Street).
Built in 1954, the bridge features four spans of steel stringer, set onto concrete substructures. The bridge appears to be a steel stringer, but also shows features of being a through girder.
It is likely that this bridge replaced an older wood and beam bridge of some sort. This structure was built as a result of road widening. In the not so distant future, US-63 will be rerouted off of this road.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition. The bridge also features no decorative features.

The author has ranked this bridge as being minimally significant, due to the newer age.
